a community based CMS where individuals can join others in creating dynamic groups for collaboration, communication and presentation on the web.
Grupal means "Group" in both portuguese and spanish.
Drupal is the CMS framework on which Grupally is built. The Open Social distribution which it uses is relies heavily on the Group contrib module.
My friend Mark was seeking a place to share a new project he was working on. After thinking about it, I thought it would be great to have a site where people could make announcements without a lot of muss and fuss. This is how Grupally was born and that original post. https://grupally.com/node/1
Grupally is a Social Media Platform that allows you and friends to form affinity groups, where you can share basically anything you want just among the people in your group or publicly to the world. Everyone who wants to see the stuff private to the group must have a login. But the group can share anything it thinks appropriate to the world and place it on its group public feed as well as the Grupally Community feed.
If you're a spanish speaker, you already know that "grupal" means group. Plus, there are also some significant parts of our beginnings that are referenced in our name. Our goal is to ease the process of using group think via this set of cloud-based services.
An individual or Group can also share their information publicly after setting up an account. Anyone who visits Grupally and checks out our stream can see information posted publicly.. Plus, a group can have it's own domain name where it's group information is referenced with its own stream. So it's a snap to build your with own web presence or Intranet using Grupally in a few hours.
